Accessing your files via FTP is a straightforward process, but it requires following a few specific steps. This guide will walk you through accessing your files using FTP, ensuring you can manage your files efficiently.
Step 1: Navigate and Login to Control Panel
Begin by navigating to our control panel at control.itsyltd.uk. Enter your login credentials to access the dashboard. If you’ve forgotten your login details, you can use the "Forgot Password" option or contact our support team for assistance.
Step 2: Locate Your Package
Once logged in, locate the package or hosting account you wish to access via FTP. This can be found under the "My Services" or "Hosting Packages" section of the dashboard. Click on the Manage button next to the package you want to access.
Step 3: Unlock FTP Access
In the management view of your package, look for the FTP lock status within the right-hand column. If FTP is locked, click on Unlock FTP to enable access. If FTP is already unlocked but you’re encountering issues, try locking it and then unlocking it again, which can sometimes resolve access issues by refreshing the connection.
Step 4: Retrieve FTP Details and Connect
After ensuring that FTP is unlocked, locate the FTP Server, Username, and Password details within the same section. You will need these details to access your files.
Open your preferred FTP program (such as FileZilla, WinSCP, or Cyberduck) and enter the following details:
- FTP Server: Enter the FTP server address provided.
- Username: Use the FTP username listed.
- Password: Enter the FTP password.
Once entered, connect to the server, and you should have access to your files.
